Dr Claudine De Munter is a
Belgian trained Paediatrician and Paediatric Intensivist. She
moved to London with her husband, Mr Eric Jauniaux, Consultant
Obstetrician in 1995 and took up the post of Retrieval Fellow
responsible for bringing sick children from all over Englandís
District General Hospitals, via ambulance or helicopter, to the
Paediatric Intensive Care Unit of St Mary's Hospital London.
Claudine was made a Fellow of the
Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) in 1998
and has been a Consultant in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit
since 1999. In addition since 2006 she has developed clinical
skills training for medical students, doctors utilising
As a French speaking
Paediatrician she is familiar with the English, Belgian and
French systems of care. Her particular interests are infections
and feeding difficulties. Claudine is also well placed to help
families in adjusting to the English medical systems while still
retaining some of the ideals from the continent.
Claudine has been very well received by our
patients and recent completion of patient feedback forms (Dec14)
for mandatory revalidation purposes, were incredibly
complimentary with all patients rating their consultation and
care experience as very high.
